In 1980 he launched a chain of retail stores, successfully secured $3 million dollars in private placement funding, worked closely with Ernst & Young, developed an international franchise company expanding the chain from 6 stores to over 22 store locations in the U.S., U.S. Virgin Islands and the Bahamas with annual sales of $12 million and dominated the accessories market with sales in excess of $4,000 per square foot. After selling the chain he founded another start up – a medical billing and finance company. He provided the strategic and operational leadership, with full P&L responsibility, to lead the company’s successful growth from the start-up phase to a regional market leadership position funding approximately 20 million dollars to over 96 physician groups. He hired, trained and developed a staff of over 100 employees across multiple departments including billing, IT, sales and finance including 4 CPAs and a CFO.

He is a private pilot and over the years has personally donated considerable time and money to this cause and other charities.
